Tools of the Trade

Needing a hair cut or thinning???? Well I got the opportunity to review the Acelist professional hair cutting scissors and thinning shears and I jumped on the chance. I got these tools at a deep discount in exchange of an honest and unbiased review.  For this review I incorporated the help of the hair dresser of the family Kimberly and for doing so she got new goodies!!!! I have no skill whatsoever when it comes to cutting hair. Kimberly is a professional hair stylist.

Now, just in case you can't hear the video well, Kimberly said these were great products. She said they each had little rings on the inside of the handles that can be removed if you have "fat" fingers or leave them in if you have skinny ones. She said they cut the hair smoothly and efficiently. Scissors were sharp and cut the hair quickly and evenly. They are also light and easy on the wrists. A problem with many scissors are they are too heavy and by the end of the day a hairdresser's wrists are tired and achy. There are a nut and bolt that holds them together you can loosen before first use if at first they are too tight. The sheers have teeth to thin the hair, Kimberly explained they had teeth because that caused your hair to separate and it would only cut every other hair. As you can see from the video it didn't take her long at all to thin my cousin's hair. The tools also come with their own little plastic covers. We had fun with this video and she was at my daughter in laws (her cousins) home. The kids were running in and out and back and forth but we had fun!!! A big thanks to Kimberly for helping with the review.
